Well, as you know, I really did like the book, but I do find that I haven't really recommended it as widely as I might have expected. I did post a fairly strong recommendations, and it is one of my favorite books from the past few years. But I haven't really been buying them for anyone, or really strongly pushing them, as I have with some of my other recent favorites. I'll have to think about why.

I personally did like the ending, and the tightness of the story there; however, I do agree that Julia's treatment at the end was perhaps excessive. It was hard to read through, but I agree that Quentin's ultimate lesson isn't derived solely from that.

I really did like Julia, but I found Quentin and his quest and story better here, too. The third book is I think likely going to come out later this year, and I'm definitely going to be on the lookout for it. ^_^
